My pastor has shaped my world view. I have never become disillusioned in any way about how God does his work. I feel that God has a better life for everyone if they believe in him. My pastor has been a big influence on me about my life. He teaches me that it does not matter how much wrong I do God is a forgiving God and he will never do anything to hurt me. For example, if I lied to my professor about why I did not come to class or said some hurtful things to a person he will forgive me. He is all about giving second chance. My pastor will always ask this question if God can forgive us a hundreds time why can’t we forgive others one time.

After reading this book the truth will away be the truth. This is not a true war story, but I believe some of the things in the book he was saying is things that happen in the war. I would recommend this book because it’s great and leave you wondering what’s going to happen next. Great selection Mrs. Aiken!!!!!!!

Lt. Jimmy Cross is a great example because he so in love with Martha he could not focus on the war nor his soldiers. The evidence to follow this is when Ted Lavender died he felt it was his fault because he was so focus on what was Martha was doing in school and not how his soldiers was feeling. Even when Lavender died, his mind was still wondering off about Martha.

Prompt # 4

The Dentist was my favorite story in the book. The reason I like the dentist because Curt Lemon was so brave, but when it was time for to go to tent to get cleaning he fainted. It’s just show everyone has something they are scared of. Friends were my least favorite because they were not true friend. I feel that just started like each other because there was no way for them to avoid each other. I loved the book as a whole because I love books that leaving what going to happen next. Tim O’Brien is the one I felt sorry for because he drafted into a war that he hated.

When reading, The Things They Carried, I believe it was true. The way I would explain this is something like a movie where the directors try to point out all major events. In this book you will be left wondering is this really true or is something he wanted to throw in to get his reader off track. I would tell the class not to pay attention to the big events that happen throughout this book because to me he is trying to keep his reader reading so something has to happen extraordinary. They should pay attention to the small events.

Precious is a recent a movie based on a true story. Precious is a heartbreaking movie this young lady name Precious is rape by her father at a young which continue throughout her teenager life and she has two baby by her father one has down syndrome. Her mother hate her because she felt her husband love their daughter more than he love her, Precious mother, Mary Jones was REAL brutal to her daughter. My opinion on this movie was dang this really happen in America. Mary Jones should have gone to police instead of treating Precious is she lower than dirt on ground. I feel this movie open up something new to the world and will let girls like Precious open up to situations they are in. This movie enhanced my viewing “based on a true story”, because while watching the movie the actress in the movie I could really see the pain in each everyone eyes.
