HEART IN CONFLICT

The Color Purple is a magnificent novel written by Alice Walker. This novel is written in Ebonics. It pulls the audience in by the harsh ways black woman’s are treat by the ones that claims they love them. This novel has many characters in it that are abuse by someone that has the upper hand in the relationship, but I will only use one character. Celie is a young teenager who has to take care of her younger sibling because is not able to do health failure. Celie is molested by her father, who tells her that if she told anyone about it he would kill her. During the sexually abused Celie gives birth to two babies (two different occasions). Her father gives the babies away to a pastor and his wife, Celie has no clue where her babies are. This doesn’t even begin to tell Celie life. She is sold to an older man who already has a family. The older man only wants her for three things: SEX, RASING HIS KIDS, AND TAKING CARE OF HIS HOME. Celie is just a teenager herself! Celie hates the life her father has created for her. At the same time the life he has created for her is all she knows. Celie is young free non educated women who live with a man who treat her like a servant. The older man want Celie do whatever he say do whenever he say it. She knows it’s a better life out there and she would like to live in world where the grass greener on the other side
